Sydney Catamaran Delivery | Delivery Skippers

Sydney Catamaran & Multihull Delivery

Moving a high-volume catamaran through Sydney Harbour or Broken Bay requires more than just a standard boat license. We provide professional delivery skippers specifically experienced in the handling, windage, and structural requirements of modern multihulls.

Whether you are bringing a Lagoon down from the Whitsundays to The Spit or moving a Seawind from Pittwater to the Gold Coast, we manage the passage with a focus on vessel integrity and precision docking.

Expertise with Lagoon, Leopard & Fountaine Pajot

Production Cats

During the trip, we keep the boat clean, monitor the sail drives, and make sure we aren't pushing the hulls into a head sea just to save an hour. We have extensive miles on Lagoon, Leopard, and Fountaine Pajot and other catamarans.

Performance

We focus on active sail management. We don’t just set the autopilot and walk away; we stay on top of the reefing polars to protect the rig. We ensure the boat arrives at the destination with everything in the same condition it left the dock.

Power Catamarans

Power cats like Aquila and ILIAD are systems-heavy, and we know our way around their engine rooms. We monitor the fuel burn and engines to find the most efficient cruising speed for the long legs between Sydney and The Gold Coast. We keep a constant eye on the vitals so you get a boat that has been looked after, not just delivered.

Pre-Sea Inspections & Setup

Every delivery starts with a mechanical and safety audit. Before we clear Sydney Heads or the Gold Coast Seaway, we go through the boat:

  • Engine Room: We check the fluids, belts, and impellers. If the boat has been sitting at The Spit or Coomera for months, we ensure the batteries are taking a charge and the cooling systems are clear.

  • Safety Gear: We verify the liferaft, EPIRB, and flares are in date. If the boat is short on safety gear for an offshore run, we let you know before we leave the dock.

  • Rig & Deck: For sailing cats and yachts, we do a check of the standing rigging and deck hardware.

Catamaran Handover

Upon arrival, the owner receives a straightforward report on vessel performance and any maintenance items identified during the passage.

Transparent Estimates

Delivery costs are outlined upfront based on vessel type, route, and timeframe. The detailed estimate is a realistic understanding of cost before committing.

Professional Approach

All deliveries are led by experienced skippers with proven sea miles on the specific vessel type. The catamaran is delivered as agreed, with clear reporting on passage, systems, and any observations on arrival with a written report.

Clear Communication

You know where the vessel is and what’s happening at all times with our 24/7 satellite tracking. We provide updates with photos during the delivery, including position, conditions, and progress.

Professional Handover & Reports

Our job isn’t finished until the boat is washed down and tied up at your home berth. We treat your boat like a multi-million dollar asset, not a ferry.

  • The Washdown: We don’t hand over a salt-encrusted boat. We do a basic wash-down of the stainless and clears upon arrival.

  • The Logbook: You get a copy of our transit log, including total engine hours, fuel burn, and weather observations.

  • Technical Feedback: If we noticed the starboard alternator was running hot or a bilge pump was cycling too often, you’ll get a direct report so you can fix it before your next weekend out.

Sydney Catamaran Delivery: Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We have significant sea miles on Lagoon, Leopard, Fountaine Pajot, and Seawind multihulls. We understand the specific systems on these boats, from the sail-drive configurations to the helm setups. We treat these high-value cats with respect, ensuring the rigging and hulls aren't stressed during the transit.

Yes. We coordinate directly with brokers at Newport, Bayview, and Rushcutters Bay. We do a full "cold start" check and a walkthrough of the machinery before we take the lines. If there are any issues identified during the handover, we notify you immediately before we clear the Sydney Heads.

We don't hand over a salt-encrusted boat. Once we arrive at your home berth in Sydney Harbour or The Hacking, we perform a basic wash-down of the clears and stainless steel. Our goal is to leave the boat in the same condition—or better—than when we took delivery.

We don't "bash" power cats into a head sea, which is the fastest way to burn through a fuel budget. We wait for a weather window that allows the hulls to run efficiently. We monitor the RPMs and fuel flow to keep the delivery as economical as possible, ensuring we always maintain a safe 20% reserve for the run between Sydney and The Gold Coast.

Vessel type and model, current location, destination, preferred timing, and any known mechanical or operational considerations.

Yes. These are sophisticated, systems-heavy vessels. We monitor everything from the engine room vitals to the house battery banks and water-makers during the transit. We provide a full technical report upon arrival at your home berth in Sydney or Pittwater, so you know exactly how the boat performed.
