As an Australian yacht delivery company, we delivered this Leopard 45 from French Polynesia to Brisbane.
This Leopard 45 had previously operated in charter service, so a large part of the preparation involved working through the vessel’s equipment and storage areas before departure. Charter boats often accumulate a surprising amount of gear over time, and we spent part of our handover period sorting equipment, checking inventories and deciding what would be carried for the delivery.
The Leopard 45 is a model we have delivered on several occasions. The layout works well for offshore passages, with good access around the vessel and plenty of space for provisions and spare parts. Before leaving French Polynesia we completed a full inspection of the yacht, topped up consumables and picked up a few filters and service items to carry onboard.
Once underway the trip settled into a fairly normal delivery routine. Regular machinery checks, cleaning and general vessel management occupied most of the day-to-day workload. We also spent time preparing documentation and vessel records so everything was ready for arrival in Australia.
The vessel arrived in Brisbane and was cleaned, prepared for handover and transferred to its owner. Deliveries between French Polynesia, New Zealand, Queensland and other South Pacific destinations are a regular part of our work, with Leopard catamarans remaining one of the more common cruising catamarans we relocate.
