Tasman Sea crossings are a common reason owners engage a professional delivery skipper. Relocating a yacht between countries requires time away from work, offshore experience, crew organisation and the ability to commit to a suitable departure window. For many owners, the practical solution is to have the yacht professionally delivered to its new location.
Our role was to take responsibility for the vessel in New Zealand and deliver it to Queensland ready for the owner’s arrival. This included vessel preparation, passage management, arrival logistics and final handover.
The New Zealand to Australia route remains one of the busiest yacht delivery corridors in the South Pacific, with Fountaine Pajot catamarans regularly moved between the two countries for cruising plans, vessel purchases and new purchases.
