Sydney Catamaran Delivery – Leopard, Lagoon, Bali

Sydney Catamaran & Multihull Delivery

Moving a high-volume catamaran through Sydney Harbour or Broken Bay requires more than just a standard boat license. We provide professional delivery skippers specifically experienced in the handling, windage, and structural requirements of modern multihulls.

Whether you are bringing a Lagoon down from the Whitsundays to The Spit or moving a Seawind from Pittwater to the Gold Coast, we manage the passage with a focus on vessel integrity and precision docking.

Production Cats

Beyond simply moving the vessel, we treat your boat with the highest level of seamanship, ensuring the interior is kept clean and mechanical systems like sail drives are monitored around the clock. Our team brings extensive experience to the bridge, with thousands of ocean miles logged on leading brands such as Lagoon, Leopard, and Fountaine Pajot.

Performance

A delivery is about preservation as much as progress, and we take pride in delivering the vessel in the exact condition it was in when we stepped aboard. We don’t just set the autopilot and walk away; We focus on active sail management, and ensure the boat arrives at the destination with everything in the same condition it left the dock.

Power Catamarans

Power cats like Aquila and ILIAD are systems-heavy, and we know our way around their engine rooms. We monitor the fuel burn and engines to find the most efficient cruising speed for the long legs between Sydney and The Gold Coast. We keep a constant eye on the vitals so you get a boat that has been looked after, not just delivered.

Pre-Sea Inspections & Setup

Every delivery starts with a mechanical and safety audit. Before we clear Sydney Heads or the Gold Coast Seaway, we go through the boat:

  • Engine Room: We check the fluids, belts, and impellers. If the boat has been sitting at The Spit or Coomera for months, we ensure the batteries are taking a charge and the cooling systems are clear.

  • Safety Gear: We verify the liferaft, EPIRB, and flares are in date. If the boat is short on safety gear for an offshore run, we let you know before we leave the dock.

  • Rig & Deck: For sailing cats and yachts, we do a check of the standing rigging and deck hardware.

Sydney to Coffs Harbour

Approximately 235 nm. This is a common first stop for vessels heading north, offering a reliable all-weather entrance.

Sydney to Southport (Gold Coast)

Approximately 385 nm. This route is the basis for the annual Sydney to Gold Coast Yacht Race.

Sydney to Brisbane

Approximately 475 nm. Entering Brisbane adds a bit of distance compared to stopping at the Gold Coast.

Sydney to Cairns

Approximately 1,150 nm. This is a significant coastal passage and requires careful navigation through the Great Barrier Reef.

Professional Handover & Reports

Our job isn’t finished until the boat is washed down and tied up at your home berth. We treat your boat like an asset, not a ferry.

  • The Washdown: We don’t hand over a salt-encrusted boat. We do a wash-down of the stainless and clears upon arrival.

  • The Logbook: You get a copy of our transit log, including total engine hours, fuel burn, and weather observations.

  • Technical Feedback: If we noticed the starboard alternator was running hot or a bilge pump was cycling too often, you’ll get a direct report so you can fix it before your next weekend out.
