This was the first of two deliveries we completed aboard this brand new Granocean W60.
We prepared, commissioned, and delivered the Granocean W60 from Hong Kong down to Cairns for handover to the owners before later returning to deliver the vessel again further down the Australian coast.
Working directly with a new-build vessel always involves more than simply arriving and departing. A considerable amount of time was spent in Hong Kong checking systems, testing equipment, organising offshore spares, and preparing the yacht properly before departure. Granocean were excellent to deal with throughout the commissioning and handover process and the vessel was presented to a very high standard.
The route south toward Cairns involved typical offshore planning through the South China Sea and western Pacific approaches into Australia. The Granocean W60 proved to be an economical and comfortable long-range cruiser with excellent offshore manners and very practical systems for extended passagemaking.
