The Fountaine Pajot Tanna 47 is a modern cruising catamaran with a practical layout for longer deliveries. The large storage areas made it easy to organise provisions and spare parts, while the engine compartments provided good access for routine inspections during the trip.
Before departure from Darwin we completed a thorough inspection of the vessel and loaded additional provisions for the passage east. We also spent some time organising equipment onboard, as the yacht was carrying a substantial amount of owner gear that needed to be secured before leaving the marina. A few routine service items were purchased locally and carried as spares.
Much of the delivery involved ordinary day-to-day vessel management. Regular engine checks, cleaning and equipment inspections formed part of the routine. We also spent time washing down decks and clearing salt from the helm and cockpit areas as we progressed along the Queensland coast.
The vessel arrived in Queensland and was prepared for handover before being transferred to its receiving party.
