TP52 Delivery to Japan
As an Australian yacht delivery company, we delivered this TP52 to Japan.
The TP52 is a very different proposition to a typical cruising yacht. Designed as a high-performance racing yacht, the focus is on weight, sail handling and deck efficiency rather than storage space or onboard comfort. Before departure we spent time checking running rigging, deck hardware and securing equipment that would be carried for the passage.
Preparation for this delivery included loading provisions, organising spare parts and carrying out a detailed inspection of the vessel’s systems. With limited storage compared to most cruising yachts, equipment needed to be carefully organised and secured before leaving. We also completed a number of small maintenance tasks and stocked routine service items for the trip.
Once underway, much of the work centred around keeping the yacht organised and carrying out regular inspections. Racing yachts can accumulate a large amount of sails, lines and equipment, so keeping everything in order made daily operations much easier. We also spent time cleaning the vessel and preparing documentation ahead of arrival in Japan.
The TP52 arrived in Japan and was prepared for handover before being transferred to its receiving party. International deliveries throughout Australia and the western Pacific form a regular part of our work, including performance yachts, race boats and offshore cruising vessels.
