Various yacht delivery companies charge in a huge array of alternatives, some by the mile, the day, including provisions, excluding fuel. It can be a bewildering assortment of further expenses and add ons that had not been budgeted for by the owner.
No one likes an unexpected bill when a price had been agreed. At Yacht Delivery Solutions we ensure that every contract is straightforward and transparent with clear pricing. A quote will be given and we stand by our word. Days in port are not charged at the full rate, therefore there is no reason to "hang out", not to mention, we have other clients waiting.
Sailing is not an exact science. Schedules are weather and current dependent. Various yachts and passages require crews with corresponding skills and experience. The prices listed are a rough guide. We will endeavor to be as competitive as possible while still providing an excellent yacht delivery service.
While we are happy to welcome a new owner on to their yacht to join the delivery as crew, this will push up the daily rate to reflect the extra responsibilities involved. The added costs would depend on the individuals experience and expectations. We are happy to discuss this further.
A short delivery of up to 3 days is around $585 a day for the skipper and crew, excluding expenses. A quote is available on request.
A delivery of up to 7 days on a Oceanis 55 for example is only $560 a day for the skipper and crew, plus flights and running costs. Ask for a detailed estimate
We only charge $535 per day for the delivery skipper and crew for deliveries of up to 14 days plus flights and vessel running costs. We only charge for days worked. Longer deliveries are negotiable.
First mate and additional yacht delivery crew, if needed, will be determined by the size of the boat and length of the passage. All crew flights to and from the vessel are the responsibility of the owner, as are the costs of fuel, port fees (customs, immigration, slip/mooring fees) and other necessary expenses.
A written estimate will be supplied for the yacht delivery service before any agreement takes place. In the advent of any unexpected incidents the owners will be informed and will be responsible for any decision that is made.
It is expected that all equipment needed for a voyage is on board. This includes, life jackets, life raft, safety harnesses, charts and navigation equipment suitable for Auckland, Brisbane and Sydney for example.
